The Challenge
Roche needed to implement a scalable, highly available, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure in China using the Alibaba Cloud platform. For that, Roche required a solution to set up a secure, compliant, centralized billing and multi-account Alibaba Cloud environment. In addition, Roche required a high bandwidth, reliable, secure, and private connection between their data center in China and the Alibaba Cloud platform. Lastly, as Roche organization expands its use cases, they required a solution to provide production-ready accounts automatically in a scalable and efficient manner.
The Solution
Roopu Cloud set up a Landing Zone in China, creating multiple Alibaba Cloud accounts to ensure separation of business processes. In addition, an automation process was implemented to manage the account creation and bootstrapping in an easy and fast way. Roopu Cloud provided as well a secure and compliant cloud environment on Alibaba Cloud, following the CIS benchmark and implementing cloud security services to protect the cloud environment in the network, data security, compliance, and auditing. We also implemented a dedicated private networking connected to their data center in China with high elasticity, enterprise-level data privacy, and high-quality networking.
Results
By working together, Roche adopted the Alibaba Cloud platform delivering significant business advantages such as enterprise-level scalability, increased flexibility, and improved overall performance. Roche reduced dramatically the time-to-market in China as a result of our understanding of Roche’s business objectives and matching them with bespoke technical solutions.
